I used to think that graphic design was just page layouts, posters, flyer's etc. It all seemed fairly boring and mundane.
I started to look at different types of graphic art and wider range of graphic designers, such as Jasper Goodall. but still my grasp on design was quite small.
Since starting the course i have started to document websites and designers, to me this is the essence of graphic design.
